HOW WE ASSESS
Assessment is crucial for measuring
progress, guiding instruction, and reflecting
on learning outcomes. Assessment results are used not only
to report but also as data to refine our
curriculum.
Internal Assessment
Pre-Assessment: Conducted at the
beginning of each unit to gauge prior
knowledge and inform instruction.
Formative Assessment: Ongoing
assessments
throughout lessons to monitor student
understanding and adjust teaching strategies.
Summative Assessment: Administered at
the
end of a unit or topic to evaluate the
overall learning and achievement of students.
External Assessment
MAP Growth (Measures of Academic Progress Growth) is an
adaptive, computer-based assessment designed to
measure a student’s academic progress. It is administered
three times.
Grades K-2: Reading, Math
