HOW WE ASSESS

Assessment is crucial for measuring progress, guiding instruction, and reflecting on learning outcomes. Assessment results are used not only to report but also as data to refine our curriculum.

Internal Assessment

  • Pre-Assessment: Conducted at the beginning of each unit to gauge prior knowledge and inform instruction
  • Formative Assessment: Ongoing assessments throughout lessons to monitor student understanding and adjust teaching strategies
  • Summative Assessment: Administered at the end of a unit or topic to evaluate the overall learning and achievement of students

External Assessment

MAP Growth (Measures of Academic Progress Growth) is an adaptive, computer-based assessment designed to measure a student’s academic progress. It is administered three times.
